2. Courses. A lineup of marquee courses like TPC Scottsdale and Troon North costs more than a mix that includes one or two lesser-known tracks.

3. The house. One large villa for 12 to 16 is usually better value per person than splitting into hotel rooms, and it is a better trip.

4. Group size. Fixed costs like the house, transport and chefs get cheaper per person as the group grows.

5. How much you want handled off the course. Golf and a house is one price. Golf, chefs, massages, dinners and nightlife is another.
